Due to increasing operating costs and a changing landscape in locum availability, I am sad to say that it is no longer viable for TOPS to remain in operation. From 1 August 2024, the Entire HR App will no longer be in service however all previously booked locum sessions will be honoured.

For the past 35 years, TOPS has connected countless orthoptists with Eyecare facilities, both in a locum and a permanent capacity. Many orthoptists have found employment both from doing locums and applying through the many job ads we have posted. We have seen many changes over the years, from a simple landline, through to texts, emails and finally an app to connect locums with clinics. It has been quite a journey but I think with ever changing technology, it is easier to connect directly more now than ever.

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all the orthoptists who answered our numerous calls and texts, and those who accepted sessions through the app and travelled around Melbourne, Victoria and even interstate to fill available positions. I really appreciate your work and professionalism.

I would like to thank all the orthoptists, practice managers, admin staff and doctors with whom I have had the pleasure of dealing with over this time, I really appreciate your support and am happy I could assist in your orthoptic requirements.
